Bell & Ross 126 Renault Sport 40th Anniversary Edition Replica Watch

Back in 2016, Bell & Ross announced a partnership with Renault Sport Formula One Team. This exciting collaboration was crowned earlier this year, when Bell & Ross unveiled its BR03-94 RS17 model that integrates the best of motor racing technology, mechanical expertise and materials. At BaselWorld 2017, we saw the launch of an entire collection, the Bell & Ross BR-RS17 Trilogy, dedicated to the Renault Sport F1. This time, the partnership with the Renault Sport Formula One Team provides inspiration for Bell & Ross watch designers to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Renault in Formula 1 with a brand new model inspired by Renault’s first ever-single seater from 1977, the R.S.01.

The dial

The latest Bell & Ross timepiece is the BR126 Renault Sport 40th Anniversary, a vintage-styled wristwatch designed for driving professionals. The model takes its design cues from the first Formula 1 races. It features a 41mm-wide satin-finish stainless steel case and a black and yellow dial. The color scheme is an obvious reference to the colors of the Renault Sport Formula One Team. The historical insignia of Renault from the 70’s and the checkered flag from the finish line appear on the dial, as well as on the back side of the case.

The black minute track is printed on a yellow strip, evoking the hatched decoration of Formula 1 in the Seventies. The colors, the ultra-domed crystal, the vulcanized rubber bracelet and the outline of the horns reinforce the vintage look of this timepiece.

The movement

Bell & Ross 126 Renault Sport 40th Anniversary replica watch is powered by the automatic mechanical calibre BR-CAL.301. The movement provides indications for hours, minutes, seconds, and date. There are also two chronograph counters (60-second and 30-minute) for measuring short lengths of times, and the performance of racing cars, with great precision. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters.
